Tea tree oil works, and you can get it at Whole Foods or other health food stores, and at GNC.
Soak gauze with the oil, and wrap it around your toes and tape it.
However, nail fungus is really hard to get rid of, and will probably take more than that.
Start taking a garlic supplement 2500 mg three times daily.
At night, mash a clove of garlic with some raw honey and apply to the infected area. (Gross, I know. But it works.)Home remedies for a toe nail infection.?
Depending on how deep the infection is may result in your having to do antibiotics.
Yes you can get tree tea oil at Walgreen's. I put a tablespoon in a foot tub of warm water and soak. You can also directly apply the tree tea oil to the infection, but again depending on how deep the nail infection goes, soaking may not help.
You can also add a capful of Clorox to your foot soak too.
If you infection is not getting better....go see a Dr.
Your problem is caused by a fungus... and unfortunately, is deep under the nail..... you can have some impact on clearing it up and if you stay at it...maybe clear it up... Normally, it's treated with a pill and treated from the inside out..... Soaking in a mild solution of bleach and hot water for 15 minutes a couple of times a day...should start clearing it up..but if you only do this once a week or so...don't expect much results.... you can also, after doing this, apply a anti fungal cream and rud it under the nail the best you can...... I've heard of people (this sounds strange, I know) put a large amount of antifungal cream on the toes and then cover then in a plastic wrap (hold the cream in place) then put their socks and shoes on for the day.... good luck and resolve your self to the ';fact'; its not going to go away in a week or two...
Tea Tree Oil works. I got rid of my fungal nail infection by using this morning and night. Keep trimming the infected part of the nail off. It will take several weeks, but it works very well. If the infection is very deep seated then you may need some oral treatment as well, but see how you go with the Tea Tree first.
You can buy it at most stores these days.
If you have toe nail fungus you can bet that you have it internally as well. So you need to treat both topically and internally.
Water with a couple tablespoons of clorox bleach to soak your foot in or some Oregano capsules for both internal and brake open and rub on toes.
my boyfriends dad had the same thing and he soaked his toe in antibacterial Listerine. (the brown kind) I have also heard tell of people soaking their foot in bleach. Obviously if u have a cut or something don't use bleach, but if its just the infection, try. :)
Go to a local supplement store and buy some tea tree oil.Use a cotton swab and apply directly to the affected area.Tea tree oil is available at GNC.If it doesn't start to clear up in five days, you'll need a prescription for oral lamisil.
VicksVaporub is also a good remedy for toe nail infection.
Tea tree oil, creams and garlic pills will not eradicate most fungal infections. Go to the doctor, take the meds and you will be fine for the sandal season.
Try plain old LISTERINE it's a great antiseptic soak it for a few minutes.
Try using an oil blend called ';Thieves'; from Young Living, but please make sure you understand how to use it ';neat'; or straight as it is very strong!
A few years back my friend had the same thing..
She had to soak her foot in something for 30 minutes a day.
It was like vineger and or milk :/
Look it up on google.
go to the doctor and get it treated the right way!
