Thank you for asking.
This solution is more directed for ';toe jams'; that is caused by a bacteria rather than a fungus but a thorough 10 minutes-per-foot of hospital style scrubbing will usually suffice to rid the bacteria that's causing the problem and I would think it should also work for foot fungus. Let me explain what I mean by “hospital style scrubbing” and how nurses and doctors scrub their fingernails. After lathering the hands the scrubbing is done by scratching the palms in a one-way direction-only to force the soap suds to go under the fingernails in order to physical force germs out from under the fingernails. In the case of “toe jams” each foot needs to be scrubbed at the toenails for a minimum of 10 minutes each to likely ensure curing the problem or else just 5 minutes may not suffice and can leave at least a single bacteria behind which will infect the foot again by around a week or so later. First things first is to trim the toenails as short as possible but not too short to where there's any pain from being too short. Use lots of soapy lather and rub the palms against the toenails in a one-way direction-only for a whole 10 minutes per foot and that will solve your problem but you'll still need to avoid using the same contaminated footwear and/or avoid walking on the floors that may have already been contaminated by the bacteria or fungus or else this will only gradually re-infect the foot all over again. This scrubbing technique will work to resolve the typical ';toe jams'; bacterial problem but if you happen to have a severe fungal case where the nails have cracked or turned yellowish or something of that awful nature where the fungi is embedded ';within'; the toenails instead of only ';under'; the toenails then you'll probably need a short term use of something like Lamasil medication or you may want to instead first try any variety of homeopathic remedies that can be found over the Internet. The bottom line is that when you get rid of all of the bacteria or fungi via a proper 20 minute scrub down then you'll get rid of the problem. I think a proper 20 minute scrub down combined with CALIFORNIADREAMING's answer below would be worth a try before opting towards pharmaceutical medications which contains toxic side effects.
Again, thank you for asking. Tsark out. What is the best way to get rid of a fungal nail infection on feet?
ha this is a funny. I thought my daughters pediatrician was messing with me when he said to put mentholadum on her feet twice daily and rub in well. But we tried it anyway and it is WORKING! We have been doing it for about 3 weeks now he never said how long to continue but she says it helps her breathe better at night and her feet are so soft now she'll probably always do it LOLWhat is the best way to get rid of a fungal nail infection on feet?
try vics vapo rub or any off brand rub.
wash the affected area well with soap and water and use a toothpic, fingernail, whatever you can find to dig out the dead tissue/ fungus. clean it well, use peroxide then let it dry thoroughly and when dry, apply the vapo rub and repeat once daily if not twice if you have the time.
i did it and it's the cheapest, least painful, meaningful thing i've ever done to my toes and they are happy i did!!
By using an anti-nail fungus treatment.
No.1....Lamasil...prescription from Doc and expensive. No.2....Tea Tree Oil...Q tip onto infected area...wear socks in bed if you want.
No.3...Micatin cream...wear socks in bed to contain cream.
