Toe nail fungus is difficult to get rid of, but can be done. I would start with over the counter treatments. I would check with the pharmacist to see which one they recommend. If no results from this, make an appointment with podiatrist, a doctor that specializes in dies ease, abnormalities, etc. of the feet. They are several medications that require a prescription to treat fungus. Good luck, it will take a little time like 6 to 8 months, no matter how affective the treatment is for you to notice 100% cure, for it takes about that long for the toenail to grow from the toenail bed, out. Which the nail bed is were the fungus live. Good luck, and thanks for the opportunity to answer this question. What is the cure for toe nail fungal infection?
cureanail, not crimanail!!!!!What is the cure for toe nail fungal infection?
Nailvarnish !!
amputate
Oral anti-fungal medication is the only way to get rid of it. And a long course of it too.
Tee Tree neat on to the nail bed daily, there are also loads of preparations out there, ask a pharmasist, if in doubt see a Podiatrist.
keep nails very short. Twice daily spray with 91% alcohol. also coat infected area with repeated doses of tincture of iodine, as an alternate. It stains socks. So what? If nail thickens, you can grind it down with an instrument sold in hardwares for delicate woodwork finishing. My infection went away over years of treatment. You must let iodine seep into area where nail meets toe skin. victory is possible with persistence.
I asked a podiatrist about this and he said over the counter ';cures'; don't work and prescription medicine is very very expensive and you have to use it for three months to notice an improvement.
tea tree oil and a good colon cleanse you probably have parasite's in your system you are unaware of
I used the expensive prescription medicine for six months and it didn't do any good...
Then I got off of it and began eating 2 yogurts a day (one in the morning and again in the afternoon).
This next part sounds a little crazy but...
I heard that Mentholatum worked too so for good measure, I started putting it on the toenail in the morning when I dressed and at night before going to bed.
Wear only white cotton socks and allow your feet to breathe as often as possible (going without shoes or using canvas over leather).
your doctor will prescribe something for it..or you may be able to get non prescription to treat it.
Soak your feet daily in Boric Acid.
Once you dry your feet, try diluted white vinegar daily.
If the vinegar doesn't work within a week, buy Lamisil over the counter. (Still continue the boric acid soaking.)
If the Lamisil doesn't work, see a podiatrist.
i'd start with over the counter treatment if you haven't let it go too long. then i would see a doc and go with oral anti-fungal meds. it will probably take nearly a year to clear up and sometimes its hard to stick to a treatment that long.
Due to use of wellies when casting concrete I got a fungal infection which I cured in a matter of days, first I washed my feet 4 times a day, with a mixture of Dettol, then I used TCP cream on my feet twice a day, it went away faster then it came on .
Antifungal cream and/or antifungal oral medication.
The cure is to dry the virus out. There is a cleaner solution for grease and dirt for Heavy Duty Equipment...Bulldozers, Caterpillars...ect
You have to dilute this solution in water because it is so strong that it literally eats away paint from a new car and you watch it run off.
It will eat the skin off your hand if you l;eave it on too long, but here's the key. If you put that solution on a wart or fungus you will feel it sting a little. then wash it off. In a week its gone'
get rid of toenail fungus by soaking you feet in Listerine Mouthwash.the powerful antiseptic kills the fungus leaving your toenails looking healthy again.
Six months of oral antifungal agent.
I had this problem. I tried all the creams and nothing worked so, eventually the Doctor put me on antibiotics. It cleared it up but the toenail was still really discoloured. Its been 18 months now and it is just starting to look normal. Apparently that is how long it takes for the toenail to regrow.
There is some stuff you can get from the chemist, cost 16.99 but you will need to use 2-3 months before you see results. I am using at the mo as have a problem with one toenail and it is working a treat......sorry cant remember name of it but chemist will know if you give the price of it.
