Is there an increesed risk of nail infection?

I have been getting my nails done for some time now (acrylics, silk wrap, uv gel, most recently crystals) however for the fist time in a looong time one broke and i took them all off. I got them done today and they had to file my already thin nails to make the crystal stick. so my question is is there an increesed risk of infection now that my nails are thinner? Is there an increesed risk of nail infection?
I agree with Denise. All those acrylics, gels, etc. damage your nail. It basically is taking off layers of nail which is why yours are so thin. So I suggest you purchase a nail protein and nail strengthener (and they come in different tints like pink if you want a little color.)Is there an increesed risk of nail infection?
not on your life, the shorter they are the better the heath for you,and other persons you come in contact with your nails pick up so many bugs,
i dont believe so but you should really stop doing the various forms of fake nails for a while to let your real nails regain their strength
WOW!!! I can not begin to remotely articulate your stupidity. What is your IQ, the same as a chipmunk, equal to a house cat at best? To answer your question, stupid I don't think that there is an increased chance of you getting a nail infection just because you broke a nail. Oh wait .... did you say you broke a nail? What a serious problem!!!! I think that you need to go to the emergency room just because you freakin' broke a nail.

However, to answer your question and I am not saying that I am right in answering your stupid question by saying that you aren't at higher risk of a nail infection but if you really want to know, there is a new invention, called the internet....oh wait, I forgot you can't read...sorry about that.

Watch out everybody nail infections are going to take over the word.
probably not. the reason you nails are thin is because you use all of those harsh products on your nails. if you are worried i would suggest not having acrylics on and let your nails grow out naturally and use nail protein to let your nails get harder on its own.
