Infection in big toe under the nail?

My daughter is 13 , for the last 7 weeks shes had an infection under her big toenail , and has been to the doctor every few days , and has taken a course of antibiotics and has had her toe cleaned and dressed also many times. She has had her nail taken off last week. He thinks it was black nailvarnish that caused the infection . I am concerned as to why it has not healed with all the dressings etc.. Now she has had an allergic reaction on her toenail, what shall i do?

Try another doctor. Its always good to get a 2nd opinion. Something like that could get very serious and MAY lead to amputation of the toe.Infection in big toe under the nail?

SHe may have to have her nail permanently removed.
In this type of situation where nothing seems to be working the only recommendation I can give you is to have the to sergicaly removed.
Sorry to tell you this, but you're pretty much phucked.
