Matt, if this happened at work, your work should have insurance on you for anything that happens while at work. You can go to the doctor and turn the bill in to your work and they have to pay it. Now go to the doctor and get it looked at properly.A nail shot into my middle finger and i think that it hit the bone what kind of infection could i get?
Depending on where the nail was manufactured, it may have been forged with a chromium coating. Chromium can cause serious infections. You should be concerned about the bone, which is most likely fractured. Both will required proper medical attention.

File an injury report with your employer. You have 72 hours to get that done for the company insurance to pay for the medical treatment. After you file, go straight to the emergency room and get it taken care of.
