What are the signs of infection from a rusty nail?

yesterday i scrapped my arm against a rusty nail, it didnt break the skin or anything but there is a pink mark there, as there usually is when i bump against something, I just need to know what exactly the signs are if it was infected?


i believe that my last tetnus was 9 or 10 years ago but dont want to get another one unless i really have to, being that i am 12 weeks pregnant and dont have a way to the doctors right nowWhat are the signs of infection from a rusty nail?

But if you didn't break the skin, I also wouldn't worry too much about it. You almost need to break the skin, like get the nail through your skin for infection to be a major concern.What are the signs of infection from a rusty nail?
if it swells.. and it dont seem to heal, and becomes watery.. and you get a slight fever.. that's a sure sign of infection...
