I've gotten a fungal infection in my toenail. The upper part of the skin under my nail is yellow. Lately I've been taking these capsules the doctor has prescribed to me and I've noticed that pus is kind of leaking out of the side of my toenail (the bottom side). For the past few months, that side has always been sorta red and puffy. But lately, this yellow stuff has been leaking out of it. Do I have an ingrown toenail? And if so, will they have to do surgery on it? Or is it just a side effect from the medication or fungal infection. I got the infection before the swelling and it kinda hurts when you poke it. Also, it started right when I started taking the tablets. Help? Thankyou!Nail infection!!!!?
It sounds like you have more going on than a fungal iinfection. Go back to the doctor or to a podiatrist to get treatment for whatever is the actual problem...
