Fungal nail infection, what can I do to cure it? I'm pregnant so not sure what I can use....?

I have had it for a while now, I have it on two little toes and my big toe on my left foot, and on my little toe and a small part of my big toe on right foot. The big toe on my left foot is the worst and it mostly seperated from the bed, so I removed most of it to let it breathe. I just wondered is there anything I can put on them to try and get rid of this, its unsightly and I hate it. It's really getting to me. My feet seem a terrible mess since getting pregnant, I don't know why! I'm 32 weeks pregnant so will have to be careful what I use as well. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.Fungal nail infection, what can I do to cure it? I'm pregnant so not sure what I can use....?
It sounds like quite a bad infection, which the doc would normally treat with tablets and this can take anywhere between 2 and 6 months to fully clear). However, you can't have these while you are pregnant, so the alternative is a lacquer that you paint on the nails which you can get from the doc or (I think) from a pharmacist. I believe this is okay when you are pregnant or breastfeeding as it shouldn't get into the bloodstream, but it can take even longer to work than the tablets.

I had fungal nail infection from before I was pregnant and was worried once the baby came that I might pass it to him. As it turned out, my son wouldn't breastfeed so I got put on the tablets at my 6 week check up and within a few months it had cleared up (as soon as you start on it, the new nail that grows through is un-infected, so it depends how fast your nails grow)Fungal nail infection, what can I do to cure it? Speak to the pharmacist, they'll be able to help (assuming you don't want to ask the doc)
