My middle finger on my right hand has a black line going straight across and the left part of the nail is dark. If I look under the nail it is brown and a little crusty. And on my Index finger I also have a black line. It does not hurt but I really don't like it. I had it for about a year and when I went to the doctor they suggested that it was a freckle in the matrix of the nail I forget exactly but something along those lines. If anyone has any info or has experienced something like me please help :).Nail Infection?
My dad had this on his toenail. Sounds the same as yours. He bought an over the counter fungal nail repair medication. This didn't work for him. So, he went to the doctor and was given a prescription. It seemed to work quickly to knock out the infection.
